errr, hot enough to make me worry about it. I'm not sure, it just seems to be producing a lot more heat than my old system... how hot is the north bridge supposed to be?
since you don't say how hot it is, all I can say is that for as long as I can remember north bridge chip sets have run pretty warm, hence they often need dedicated cooling.
Good idea. Those 40mm fans can reduce temperatures by 10-12 degrees. Although, NB temps are known to get quite hot, and it doesn't affect anything or damage anything. Really, NB temps don't really have an influence on performance/stability (unless reaching temps of 80+), you're best off not to worry about it.
Your hand is a highly inaccurate thermometer, and guessing by your replies, thats what your using.
Get HWMonitor, its a small, free program from the same team who makes CPU-Z. It will let you know in degrees how hot your MB and CPU are getting.
Thanks, don't be condescending or anything... for your information, at least on my HW Monitor (which I have open 24/7) I can't get NB temps, so I'm making do.
EDIT: Can you count? Only one (1) reply was posted by me prior to this one. again.

I think he was talking to me bro.
I can't get the northbridge temps w/ that program, but the CPU's running at 53 degrees, which I'm guessing is fine. Thanks for the re-assurance guys

No worries. I don't think that many motherboards have temperature diodes on the northbridge. Well, I've never seen one anyway.
