First Time Builder Advice

If you name your links then we don't have to click them. We know what most of the parts are already. We just want the option of clicking ;)

Antec Twelve Hundred

Your memory link is a repeat of your motherboard.

Here are a few general suggestions:

Gigabyte UD3P
A very nice board, similar in quality to the P5Q-E, but at a great price. Second gen P45 board, will come with a good BIOS.

G. Skill PI Black 4GB RAM
This is the good stuff.

Sapphire 1GB 4870
This is the card you want. The 1GB 4870s are very superior to the 512s, and worth it. This Sapphire runs cooler and quieter than other cards. If you need to make cuts to fit this in, do it.

Velociraptor: This is the least needed part of your build. If you really want to be cool get an SSD:
G. Skill SSD

Nice suggestions Proximon.

Agreed - we know the parts by name, and don't like to click the links too much. You'll get better response by just listing.

Good luck with the build.

I would save my money and not get a Velociraptor or SSD, but that's up to you.

Thanks for taking the time to look through those links. Thats probably why my previous post didn't get responded to? I took your advise and made the changes. Here is my revised list. Now I just have to wait until the Sapphire video card comes in as it's out of stock. Thanks again.

It's looking good! I would swap out the CPU cooler for a Xigmatek or Sunbeam model. They cool quite a bit better.

I've noticed a lot of people using the xigmatek cooler too. I made the change and as soon as I'm notified the video card and xigmatek are in stock I'll place my order.
