  1. Can you be more specific as to which motherboard you are asking. Some 890's have a form of UCC (Unlock CPU Core) or an actual switch somewhere on the motherboard.
  2. Im going for a ASUS M4A89GTD PRO with AMD PHENOM II X2 555 3.2GHZ BE hopping to get 4cores
    Ram: OCZ OCZ3P1333LV4GK 4GB (2X2GB)
  3. The Asus board has hardware unlocking. Its probably the best 890gx available right now, provided that is the USB 3.0 version.
  4. Yes im going for the ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 Whats my chances of unlocking the x3 555 processor? is it by batch No ?
  5. Your chances are the same as with anything, 50/50. It does or it doesn't. Some may argue that the odds are much higher based on those that have reported success, but yours are 50/50. Unless you are able to repeatedly exchange the chips that don't unlock until you get one that does, and does so stably.

Now as far as batches go, success has been logged with multiple ones: 1004BPMW, 1004CPMW, 1004EPMW,... The list goes on. Sadly, it's hit or miss because some failures have also been mentioned with the above batches . Hopefully, if you still decide on an X2 555, things will work in your favor.
