Crucial C300 vs Vertex EX Tags: SSD Crucial Vertex Storage Last response: August 31, 2010 3:11 AM in Storage Share drcrash May 22, 2010 3:59:42 AM I'm about to upgrade my PC with an SSD and I have available a Crucial C300 128GB and a Vertex EX SLC 60GB. The 60GB SSD is worth 2x more than the 128GB, but it's not as fast and not as big. I'm a home user. I surf the net, watch some videos, play some games. Which should I use, which should I discard? The Vertex EX SLC isn't worth the cost... IMO Do you not have access to either the OCZ Vertex 2 or Agility 2 50GB or 100GB models? I would recommend them along with the Intel X25-M G2 80GB or 160GB over any of those two drives you've picked. m 0 l drcrash May 24, 2010 2:33:42 AM The thing is, I have access to a Vertex EX for a price cheaper than that of the C300 (witch I already bought). m 0 l Can't find your answer ? Sorry but SLC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MLC and it is not even close. The sustained write of the Vertex EX will blow the C300 out of the water. m 0 l Can't find your answer ? Ask !
