I just built my new system last week with no problems. I have a e8500 on a Asus P5Q Pro board with a GTX 260+ video card. I wasn't able to find my monitor's DVI cable so I was using my old VGA cable instead. I order a DVI cable from newegg, and when I boot my system Vista is running so slow it is basically unusable. The mouse moves very, very slow and the monitor flickers. As soon as I put my old VGA cable back in everything is back to normal. This does not make any sense to me. :ange:

So what should I do then? And am I really missing anything by not using a DVI cable?
