Hi I have been building my own PC's for about 11 Years now, and have come to a standstill with all the new stuff that has been coming out. (Took a break from Computing for about 1.5 Years) So about 2 weeks ago I decided to build myself a new computer. Now I have everything together and running but I am having a few strange problems that maybe a couple of you smarter-than-me people can help me with.

Problems: Very low FPS In all games, all the way down to TFC. Low as in 13-15fps. When I turn the computer off, and turn it back on, (Not Reset, But power off, then power on) System hangs with multiple short beeps (Usually Points to PSU *Correct me if im wrong*) After about 5 minutes of beeping, the system will spontaneously post, without me touching anything, the system runs fine after that. (Doesnt hang on reset) In PC Monitor in BIOS it says my CPU Fan is running at 650 - 950 RPM And my CPU is running at 25C-27C (Riva Tuner2.2 And SpeedFan Say the same thing) Thought CPU Fan should be running WAY faster than that.

Specs:

PSU: RoseWill 600 Watt all the 12v Rails Are at 19A Link

MoBo: GigaByte GA-M57SLI-S4 Link

CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9950BE 2.6GhZ OC To 3.0 GhZ Link

(Above Link on AMD Takes you to a Intel Site, Thought that was funny)

CPU HS/Fan: ThermalTake V1 Link

RAM: 4X1Gb Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2 800Mhz Link

GPU: MSI 8800 GTS 512 OC Edition Link

HDD: SATA Seagate Barracuda 500Gb Link

CD/DVD: 2 Optiarc DVD+RW Lightscribe Drives (Cant find a link)

Case: Your basic Window Case.

Cooling: 1X 80MM Fan Facing in from the Window Over the GPU, 1X 120MM Case fan Pushing Air out the back of the case.

OS: Windows Vistax64 Bit SP1

Thanks In Advance!

Travis.

PS. Love Toms Hardware, Been reading this forum for a very long time. This is my first post though.

Quick thought - do you have the Graphics card power plugged in?

rosewill are pretty bad PSUs

1) i would test it with another PSU, probably a corsair model

2) you say you are OCing your cpu, i would try running at stock, and see if that does something (i've had a similar problem in terms of low fps when i oc'd my x2 5000+ too high, it would still work, but performance nosedived)

3) try with only one or two memory dimms

4) take out other non-essentials, run the system with only one or two memory sticks, the gfx card, and hard drive

process of elimination here :/

K slight change, friend couldnt send the coolermaster PSU so i bought this one today and i go to pick it up in about 2 hours.

Link Its a Thermaltake, with 100watts more power than the coolermaster, and im getting it from Best Buy cause my friend works there and can get it to me for 120$ Good idea? Yes No?
