Building Budget Gaming System Need advice

Hey Everyone, Its been a while since i have been on here. my job is keeping me busy but i am putting togather a cheap gaming system and need your advice on this build i am having 3 problems with this build.

1. Should i go with 4380 over 9800gt? the reason i went with evga is because i have owned there products before and there support and warranty is aweomse.

2. Should i just get 2gb for now or just get 4gb? the reason i got 2gb is because i am waiting until i get vista then i could just order other 2gb of ram

3. should i get the amd 780 over the 770? the reason i got this board or will be getting it. is because it will support Phenom II. just trying to save on the cost of a new mobo and memory when they come out

This build will be starting in the next few days. because i think my psu went bad on my old computer. because it made like a mini cracking sound. but i had plans to build a new system so that is my reason lol

The only problem I see is the RAM. You don't need DDR2 1066. A-DATA Value Series 2GB would be a good choice.

The choice between the 4830 and the 9800 GT is a personal one. They both provide similar overall performance so it comes down the the games you plan on playing...

the reason i got the 1066 is because i will overclock and it furture proof it because the phemon II's need ddr2 1066

Solid build, good reasoning behind it. I might think about dropping another $20 to get a 790GX/SB750 motherboard for the eventual PhenomII and overclocking, also has 2 8x/8x sockets for crossfire which would make the HD4830 question easier.

The Asus or Gigabyte boards run quite a bit more.

+1 on the 790GX. I would personally recommend the BIOSTAR TFORCE TA790GX over the Foxconn board.

In the future, you will eventually need to upgrade to a 64bit OS. Consider G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066
