Software to test graphics cards?

Hi, is there any software available to test your graphics/sound cards?

Something like memtest/super pi?

If not, is there any way to diagnose what is causing my system to crash? Is there a dump somewhere that i can get some info out of?

For the second question: Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer

As for the first question, no idea. I personally wish I had something to constantly stress my GPU for a few hours...
