Ever since I upgraded my 4*1gb A-Data Vitesta Extreme Edition DDR2-800+ ram
to 4*2gb OCZ Reaper 1066 mhz DDR2 (OCZ2RPR10664GK),
I began having problems of lots of BSOD.

I ran mem-86 3.5 on the rams.
With only one ram on the slot rams check out OK.
But when I run mem-86 with 2 or 4 ram slots loaded the program freezes.

I thought this may have to do with the bios. I had bios version version F10.

I downloaded and flashed F12e (beta). This didn’t help.

Actually my Gigabyte P35C-DS3R was very unstable until bios version F10.

My OS is Vista Ultimate 64 bit. Graphic card is ATI HD 2600 (driver version 9.4-latest). Power supply is sufficient (PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750)

Anybody encountered a similar problem?
Please help…

Did you go into BIOS and set the RAM voltage to RAM Mfg. specs? BIOS will default the voltage to 1.8v. DDR28500 requires more voltage than DDR26400. Voltage, speed and timings must be set manually to reach 1066MHz. specifications.

I had thought EPP would take care of ram voltage…
Bios is loaded with optimized defaults, to be on the safe side.

Looking at the bios I see
DDR2 Voltage 2.080 V
Memory frequency 1066 mHz
Cpu host frequency 266 mHz

CPU-Z tells me
Frequency 533 mHz
FSB/Dram 1:2
Timings 5-5-5-15 - 2T

BTW, my cpu is quad core Q6600 (2400)

OCZ rates this ram for 2.1-2.2V

2.080 V seems to be close enough… Maybe I should try ~2.15V… (?)

I get BSOD especially when my PC wakes up from “sleep”.
Thank you.
