I have read numerous articles as well as suggestions on overclocking. I am stepping the cpu to raise clock speed, setting voltages, adjusting memory clocks and still I am unable to manually oc this system beyond what the OC genie onboard button will do. I have searched for info and guides specific for this motherboard and is been frustrating to say the least. I just want to do this manually to try to raise the clock speed beyond 3.6 ghz and possibly lower my temps. 40c no load, 55-70c on full load. I have seen many other systems with higher clocks and temps lower. I cant figure out why I am unable to get this right. Maybe I am just overlooking something simple, but with all the settings this board provides for overclocking, I feel overwhelmed. I hate the fact I spent the money I did and all I can do is get better results with the Overclock Genie button the board provides. If anyone has a guide or any experience with this board please let me know. Thanks

Why don't you list all the BIOS changes you made and ask what you missed or what could be done better. Include at least BCLK, Memory Multiplier (SPD), QPI Clock Ratio, CPU Clock Ratio, as well as Voltage (Load Line Calibration, Vcore, QPI/Vtt, PCH, PLL) and DRAM V and timings. Also whether you turned on or off Turbo, EIST, C states.

Actually I figured it out. I didn't turn of Turbo. EIST, and C states. Once I did, everything worked out. My memory is stable at 1800mhz and cpu is 3.6ghz manually and lowered my temps by 10c . I am stoked.
