I just built my new rig..the temp for the core 2 duo E7300 @ idle is about 38-40 C .

During 20-30 % cpu load its about 45 C

During 100 % cpu load its about 56-57 C

Are these within normal operational range..Ambient temp is about 33-34 C.

I have removed the stock thermal paste and applied tuniq thermal compound. as temp were much higher earlier.

thats about right, especially with such high ambient temps. if that heatsink is anything like the one i received with my e7200 its total junk. getting an aftermarket cooler is a good idea, especially if you want to overclock.
