Disk drive help

im looking for a disk drive for my custome build computer i looked at a few on new egg and there where 3 price ranges $15 $16 and $17.

so im guessing there all the same nothing special put your disk in and let it load am i right or am i missing somthing. i thought they'd be more.

I'd just say look at the reviews. The big difference is whether you want dvd or just cd. I'd say go for a dvd/cd burner. You can get a good one for $25. I think most brands are pretty good.

I've had pretty good luck with the LG and optiarc DVD burners.

I like asus. I've only had two of there drives, one for like 3 years and the other for .5, and neither have failed. I saw a cd/dvd burner from them on newegg a couple days ago for $26, which isn't a bad price.
