1394 net adapter driver download

Hello,
My laptop has an ethernet controller issue, will downloading the 1394 net adapter drivers help any?

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

1394 is an entirely different device type from ethernet. In Device Manager, look at the ethernet or network adapter with the yellow mark beside it and click to see the Properties. Under the Details tab, note the four characters following VEN for Vendor and the four after DEV for Device.

Input those details at http://www.pcidatabase.com and you'll find links to the maker's website - the only safe place to find a driver.
