Radio Drop out.

Hi My Wireless signal keeps droping out. I am now using a USB Wireless Device that defetes the purpose of a laptop. The internal radio is (Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter. Is this available and is it something I can replace?

theres plenty of replacement cards out there.

the intel 2200bg isnt bad


if you feel like spending more theres several atheros cards out there with higher output power making for better range.

sounds like your getting the common zero configuration wizard XP issue which is known to drop your signal at random. so what you can do is to disable zero configuration wizard and install the utility software for the (Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN
2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter. i beleve it would be included with the drivers so try downloading the drivers again

even with the drivers you might want to look at upgrading the card. 802.11b is awfully slow.
