Hey,

Just wanted to know if my Cool Master RP-600-PCAR can handle a 4870. Have no intention to over clock, running q6600, 2gb ram.

Also, if you would kindly clear my ignorance, will you explain what I should look for when seeing if a video card is compatible?

Thanks.

There should be no issues, however Coolermaster is a bit flaky for PSU's (they have a tendency to fry). I'd recommend getting a 550W or better from: Antec, PC P&C, Thermaltake, Corsair, OCZ, or Zalman soon (the 4870 only needs a 500W PSU)

Your PSU should be able to handle a 4870 fine.

I think folks tend to over exaggerate the reliability of mid range PSU like Cooler master and Rosewill.

I use 1 Cooler Master and 3 Rosewill PSU for about a year now, all 4 systems are gaming builds, used almost everyday. Not a single problem.
