9500 GT compability

I have Intel DG31PR micro ATX motherboard, with on-board video.
Here are my system spec:
windows XP Home Edition
Intel core 2 duo 3.0 ghz wolfdale
2gb(1gb each) DDR2 RAM
corsair 450 power supply

I have a pci-e 1.0 x16, would the nvidia ge-force 9500 GT DDR2 512mb work with my motherboard?

Do yourself a favor though, dump the 9500gt, grab the ATI 4670 off newegg, should be a little more, but a lot better card.
