RAID 0+1

Hello,
I need to know if it possible to now set up a RAID 0+1 with my existing system drive that was never setup as RAID. I have bought 3 identical drives to my existing. I have already tried this and it failed...Is it possible or am I going to have to transfer the data I want off my drive, then set the array up, reinstall Windows 7 and then place my data back onto the array.
