Hey all,
i have a HP dv4 1220us laptop. (http://www.shopping.hp.com/store/product/product_detail/NB199UA%2523ABA?)
It has a infrared port that is used for the remote control that came with the laptop. (has no software to use IR for other connections)
I wanted to know if i could use this port for Infrared connections? As i have several old phones that use IR but not blue tooth 
Do you know if there is anyway to activate this port to be used for other device connections too?
Would be a lot cheaper than buying connection cables.
