there really is no advantage of one board over the other. Both have been reported to OC i7s fairly well. It comes down to your preferred maker.
I personally chose EVGA, because I've done some RMA with them(video cards), and it was a good experience. I've never had to RMA my Gigabyte boards so I don't know how they are.
I also chose EVGA, because I like their Eleet software. Easy to navigate and use.

I was gonna buy a EVGA board as they looked pretty good, got good reviews when they worked, but that's just it, there were ALOT of reports of DOA equipment and having to do very frequent bios flashes, in the end I went for a P6T deluxe rather than gamble with it. From the specs and reviews it looks really good, their OC tools look good as well, but the more than other brands DOA record I think it might be a bit of a gamble
