How can a motherboard connect to a monitor if it lists "no" for DVI, VGA, and HDMI in its specs? Is there another way to still use those interfaces on that computer?

Example: It seems like any motherboard using AMD's 790FX chipset lists "no" for all 3 of those interfaces.

Am I missing something?
Thanks

You don't say WHAT motherboard you have. Manufacturer and model.

It does sound like you have a motherboard WITHOUT onboard / integrated video. In which case you need a separate video card.

It means that it doesn't have on-board video and that you need to install a video card.

There we go, I thought I was missing something. That makes sense then.
So when you add video card(s), where do you plug the cord into, the video card inside the computer, or does it align with the motherboard's backboard?
