hi im new to ocing,i want to overclock it to 3.0ghz, can anyone advise me on the settings?these are the hardware i have

Intel Q6600 2.4ghz GO
Asus P5Q PRO
OCZ 2g ddr2 800 sli ram timings 4-4-4-15

should i raise my fsb to 333 and 9xmultiplier and clock my ram to 667mhz?

Nice Ram timings. I would Leave the Ram where it is.

I would Advise you to buy Some Aftermarket cooling before changing the FSB/Multiplier

Choose one int the top 8 And start saving

To hit 3.0 with that Q6600 you will not require an aftermarket CPU cooler. If i were you, i would just raise the FSB to 333, turn off C1E & Speedstep in the BIOS, lower the RAM frequency to 667 and leave the Vcore at default.

If the overclock does not hold (which it should), i would just raise the Vcore in small increments until it holds.
