But for starters, do you have windows 7 or server 2008 r2 ? if so, windows update to install the optional fix for the reported problems.

Next check that the card reader is installed properly in the device manager, and check if your card shows up in the disk management.

If it doesn't show up, and everything else seems normal, try booting from a vista or windows 7 dvd (download a win7 based winpe or a recovery dvd if you don't have one) and boot from that. Either with the command prompt see if your flash card is showing up, or use explorer to check it. With a recovery or install dvd, this is easiest done by using the browse button at the find harddrive window.

If it shows up, it's a driver problem in windows, and if not you'll want to check the card in another pc or device. Does it work there, it could be your card reader either not supporting the card, or it's simply broken.
