Video card fan voltage

Could someone tell me, or have a clue, how much voltage does the fan require on the video card?
Its a Gigabyte 485ZL.

All cooling fans run on 5V.

Red wires are 5V and Yellow wires are 12V.

Red is used for 12v on video card fans.

Right. So could i mod it so that the black wire goes to black, red to red on the psu's molex cable?

As far as I know all video card fans , other than aftermarket, are 2 pin.

If you mod it that way you will be running 5v.
Yellow [ from molex ] to red [ on fan ] will give you 12v, look at the adapter that I posted again.

Well i modded my card, but seems the juice is not enough, the temps slowly but do keep rising.
I put it back on 12v since 7v is not enough.
but then again, its loud.

So now it depends on how much is the noise worth to you. you could by a new GPU fan
