Hello all,

I recently got a replacement Asus Maximus II Formula after RMA-ing the first one. It worked fine (POSTed) initially when I hooked up everything... well until I got the brilliant idea to connect up the LCD Poster to the board.

Mind you, the LCD Poster had died halfway through testing the old board, so I wasn't exactly sure what I was trying to achieve hooking it up to the new board. Now however, the board doesn't POST, doesn't boot, and now I'm back to square one (dead board). And the LCD Poster is still dead.

So my question; is it really possible for a dead component such as the LCD poster to kill a full motherboard like this? My guess is that when the poster died, something shorted and thus perhaps causing a large enough power-draw (grounding a voltage pin?) to kill some critical component.

That is, unless there is something I have overlooked. I'm curious as to the pin-out of this device; anyone know where one can get hold of this?

Cheers,

Wow, if the LCD did indeed kill the entire board, that's one hellova design flaw.
