Hey, I've just built myself abit of a gaming rig but am not seeing the performance I was expecting - please could you tell me whether my motherboard is the limiting factor?

ASUS P5K Premium
3.2GHz QX9770
Arctic Cooling Freezer Extreme
4GB of OCZ Reaper HPC 1066 (4x1GB)
Asus EN GTX 280 1GB
VelociRaptor 300GB & Samsung 250GB
XP Home 32-bit (I know, I know!)
750w PSU
Thermaltake Armour w/ 20cm sidefan & 2 front intake fan HDD racks

Do I need an nVidia motherboard to get the performance out of the hardware I'm using??

What performance are you getting? I suppose more to the point, what were you expecting?
Synthetic benchmark results may help.....

^+1. Exactly what are you expecting from the board? Are you limited by OC?
