Kingwin Dock-Master "not really" recognized

Hello,
I bought the Kingwin Dock-Master external hard drive docking station today, as well as a Seagate 1.5TB 7200 SATA HD.
The problem: my system only "sort of" recognizes that drive. That is, it shows up in the device manager, but doesn't show up under "My Computer". According to the Device Status the device is "working properly". I searched for drivers... nothing at Kingwin, nor was Windows Update any help.
My system: Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67GHz / 12GB RAM / Windows 7 64 bit.
The packaging states that it is compatible with Win7, although it doesn't say anything about 32 vs 64 bit.

I suspect you have not done the two-step disk preparation any new empty drive needs before Windows can use it. Look at this thread:
