^Read that first. Its a new six core but its basicly the same steps you will take since its Black edition. Most definitly if you have the stock fan you should upgrade. But a stock heatsink/fan should to fine up to 3.8 or 3.6 Ghz. Im still trying to get my 965 to 4.2 Ghz, so if you get there, tell me the settings. That would work out great.
i want to overclock 1090t to 4.2GHZ,and i have a meduiom fan.shall i buy a better fan for that overclocking?i what is the best way for 4.2 ghz overclocking?
By medium fan, I assume it is already and aftermarket cooler otherwise you would say stock. Am I correct? In any case, I think you once you get the 1090T, try it in steps of 100Mhz first and see the temp to find the limit for your current cooler. Depending on how near that goes to your 4.2GHz target then you can decide whether the additional investment will be worth it for you.
