Hey all, first time post here, have a question, im running an asus deluxe v2 X58 board with I7 920 and G.SKILL Trident 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory ram. The CPU is OC at 3.8 stable with ram at 1523MHZ on air, timings at 8-8-8-24, i have OCZ XMP Ready Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory , other than not using it, can the OCZ be installed and have the timings set in the bios the same as the G-Skill? Or will there be issues? Thx u.

Mixed memory does work, but the slower of the 2 will be the accepted speed. So if you are using 1600 memory the faster (2000) memory will need to be bumped down to 1600. You will be able to run the same timings just not the same speeds.
