Hey guys,

Question for you guys. Looking for people's thoughts on what's better AS5 or AS's ceramic? I am looking to plop on the cm v8 or the cm v10 on my i7 here in the near future. I'm just looking for the postives of both and the negatives. Anyone's thoughts would be greatly appericated.

its unlikely that there will be a nay drastic differnce in temps.

Ceramic is usually only used for aplications where there is no heat spreader. modern cpus have that cover over the resistors.

GPUS and older chips have suface mount resistors on the face that might be shorted by the silver in AS5. in those cases, you can use the non cunductive AS Ceramic.

Just becareful not to get any AS5 on the motherboard it not only conducts heat but electricty which the ceramic one i don't think does.

The Edge... There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. - HST
