Is this a good selection of parts?

Hi everyone. Im doing a overhaul of my homebrew rig, which i originally assembled in late 2005. It's pretty dated now (uses socket 478) so i want to do a major upgrade and get at least semi-modern for at least a few days (lol). Im not aiming to create the ultimate gaming pc (tight budget), but i want something that will at least run modern day games at reasonable speeds. Specifically, I want to run gta4 on it. Anyways these are the parts I picked out on newegg:

ASUS P5QL PRO LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 Wolfdale 2.66GHz 3MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Dual-Core Processor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115132]

OCZ Vista Upgrade 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227189]

Western Digital Caviar SE WD1600AAJS 160GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136075]

And one of these video cards:

XFX PVT96OSDFH GeForce 9600 GSO 768MB 192-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150320]

EVGA 01G-P3-N959-TR GeForce 9500 GT 1GB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Video Car

So how good is this setup? Has anyone had any problems with these particular parts?
How good would this machine run new games, like GTA 4? Should I migrate to Windows XP x86-64 edition?
And would anyone recommend overclocking this processor?

BTW, in case you haven't realized, I already have a case, sound card, and drives.

I have a 600w ULTRA v-series power supply. It has all the neccessary connectors for the motherboard and should provide enough wattage.

Well, I would go with atleast an E8400. Also, go with 2 9800GT's. They will be MUCH better and won't use much more power. Plus, get 4GB of ram. It's becoming the standard pretty quickly.

i disagree because the 2 nvidia cards reqires an nvidia chipset, if ur gonna do a dual card config do 2 hd 4850s, but i suggest a single 4870

idk, im rlly on a tight budget here. One vid card is enough. Plus, i may overclock the processor chip, which i hear is easy to oc, so i'll save a little there. But how good are the video cards i selected in respect to running gta4? Which is better?

i dont know what gta 4's graphics are like, but niether of those cards will play much at full settings, if ur thinking nvidia, go for at least a 9800gt, but personally, i prefer ati and a single 4850 will deffinately play gta 4

@knuckles: well if americas army is as intense as GTA4, then thats great! 87fps is fine for me.

@Midian: My max budget is around $300. That card is a little too much.

If your budget is absolutely locked in at about $75 for the graphics card then get the XFX9600gso, it performs at about the same pace as the HD4670 (4670 overtakes a little at higher res when AA is enabled) however the 9600 has about a potential 20% overclock headroom in it which will make it faster than the 4670 should you choose to oc it. You may well find yourself gaming a lot at 1280x1024 as well, depending on how high you push your CPU.

Im a person who is used to dealing with obsolete computers. I would be content with just 1024x768, but if 1280x1024 would be the best resolution i could get (with decent performance) , i would be pretty happy.
