Serial ATA Hard disk

very nice site sorry for my bad english next
overclocking can it cause and damage to the hard disk physically even if it is lowered between 5 : 15 dynamically not constantly on gigabyte 945 pl s3p for example like C I A 2 i noticed my hard disk died bought another and then gone now i've the third but the two was giving the cpu over 27 % or even more.
please talk about the risk about overclocking and hard disk and can if i can overclock the processor only and give it risk alone not with other mobo parts thank you .

Overclocking involves the CPU, memory, clock timings, and voltage changes with the motherboard. The hard drive is just along for the ride... Sounds like you may have a power supply problem or just bad luck with drives...
