I'm about to put together a system with 3GB (3x1) of PC1333, once the new AM3 Quads hit the market. I was just curious how much performance would I loose out on since that 3GB's will be running in single channel mode? Also, will there be a notable difference in real world performance compared to dual-channel? Thanks guys =)

In the past i read some tests where the only real performance gain was using onboard graphics which also uses the RAM memory as video memory. But other than that the real performance impact of actual applications is questionable. Don't think it makes apps run like 20% faster or so; it will be much much less. Maybe 2% faster, although some apps could profit more than others. Especially those who do repetitive processing (WinRAR, Rendering?) might profit from it more so than general-purpose apps.
Anyway i'd love to see benches, all this is based on some years-old news items i remembered
