Hi,

My PC is driving me nuts. I have two recurring issues:

1. My sound keeps deteriorating
2. Once in a while (say once a month) my screen won't recognize the video signal

A bit more detail:

Issue 1:
I use the onboard sound of the Asus P5QL Pro and this normally runs without a hitch. But after a few days of running the sound starts to deteriorate. First when running music or a movie I'll get a few crackles and pops... then a day later the sound'll be all crackle and pops.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the High Def sound drivers fixes the problems. But the fact that I have to do this every few days is driving me nuts.

I've already updated to the latest drivers from asus... still the same issue.

Issue 2:
I've got a Geforce 9800 and am running on 1920x1200 res. This all works great... but about once a month I'll boot up my computer (or turn on the screen if it was still on) and my screen will notify me that it ísn't receiving a signal. I've found that clearing the RTC Ram (I think that's the name) resolves this, at least I unplug the power, remove the battery and move the pins around. Then when I boot up everything works again. But still as with issue 1. it's annoying to do regularly.

I really hope you guys can help... especially issue 1 is driving me nuts.
