I just recently bought a used motherboard off of ebay. I'm a first time builder, and I'm wondering if there is anything I should be weary of or if there is anything I need to do to ensure a clean install.

If the board does not have a return policy and arrives dead, check with the MFG to see if the honor any form of warranty.
Also be sure to stress all your components to see if any issue arises.

I read the MSI rma policy, and it doesn't say anything about not being the original owner. The seller said it was only used for 2 weeks and that he didn't have any issues. I really hope I didn't buy a lemon...

Is there anyway to check and see if it's a lemon before installing all the parts? I've been buying my parts over the past few weeks, and I don't have the cpu yet...

The only real way to test it, is to hook it up and find out.

If it was clearly stated in the bid that it was a 'working' motherboard, and it turns out to be a dud, you can file a claim with ebay.
