Need Help With OEM Please

It is a good deal... IMO

If you are replacing your current SATA HDD, you won't need any cables. If you are adding it or going from an IDE to SATA, you will want a cable like this one... http://www.frys.com/product/3856257?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG to connect the hard drive to your motherboard.

That's a decent price for what it is. I can't vouch for the brand - never used it before. I looked through a couple of searches on fry's but couldn't find the cable. You can either get it at a local computer store (ask for a sata 2.0 or sata 3g cable; they refer to the same thing) or you can order it from this page of cables with free shipping at newegg:

I just browsed newegg and there's 3 kinds of SATA (I,II,III) How do I know what kind of SATA is the hard drive from my link above? :O

I just checked the 890gpa-ud3h I recently bought (Gigabyte) it came with two cable and this long strap... Can I use that instead? I didn't know about it I just saw it earlier

Not sure what a "long strap" is... If it fits into the hard drive and motherboard with no issues, than I say it should be safe to use.

The way you know it is sata II is because it says 'sata 300' in the add, and 300 megabytes per second is what sata II runs when saturated. That hard drive will never saturate it though, except maybe in short bursts.

The advertisement doesn't say it's an OEM hard drive. That means it should come with the SATA cable.

Fry's doesnt say it's OEM.. the retail ones all have boxes as picture
