can u hookup 4 monitors to a HD4850 using two dvi 1 to 2 spliters?

As in, have monitors 1 and 2 displaying picture #1, and monitors 3 and 4 picture #2, for a total of 2 unique pictures? I think that's possible, just not very useful. You can't get 4 unique pictures from a HD 4850 AFAIK.
