Can I have 2 IDE H.D.'s with XP on each at same time?

I am curious to know if I install another hard drive with Win XP-SP3 in a system that already has a HD with Win XP-SP2
and make the newly installed HD with XP-SP3 as the primary master and the HD with XP-sp2 as the primary slave, would there be any compatibility issues when I boot up the system? Of course I want the HD with XP-SP3 to be the OS that the computer boots up to, not the HD with XP-SP2. I thank you guys in advance for all responses.
