Ecs g31 mico board quad core problem

Hi my motherboard ecs g31 micro cant use all 4 processors of my q9300 quad core it always says its only using 2 and when i go into msconfig to change that number there is only 1 and 2 cores how do i fix this?


o and already updated bios and everything..

Have you tried Window's Task Manager? (Ctrl+Alt+Del, then go to the Performance Tab). Do two or four CPUs appear?

Had a friend who had a similar problem. He tried reinstalling his OS and for some, reason it worked.

Is your processor supported by the motherboard? Check the manufacturer's website.

ummm thnx for replys i fixed the problem jus had to go into msconfig and use orignal boot setup and restarted and i had then i saw 4 cores for when i wanted to choose to run 1-4
