Trying to figure out if there is something I can get a solid upgrade to for under $200. Is it just best to wait a bit longer or is there something out there that will be a very noticeable difference for this budget?

GTX 260 192SP would be a decent upgrade.

UPGRADE? How are we supposed to suggest anything with ZERO systems specs? I vote you upgrade your CPU and ram. Celeron 2.4GHz and 512MBs of ram is much to small.

Wait a while longer... for $200 you can beat a 640GTS... yes. But the 640GTS is by no means a bad card yet... it's on par [almost?] with an 8800GT, which is similar performance to the 4830... 4830 is just a crippled 4850.

I recommend that you wait for the GTX300 series.... or possibly the 40nm ATI card refreshes of their current lineup. (I think a 40nm 4830 has been confirmed with higher clocks- this could be an overclocking beast as well, perhaps? yes? no?)

The HD5### series is too far off though.

A GTS 640/320 is more like an 8800GS. (or the rebadged 9600GSO.) Both of these are below the 8800GT. The 8800GT, 4830, 9800GT, etc won't seem like much of an upgrade. These are faster, but not earth shattering so. The 4850/9800GTX is what you should be aiming for. How much you'll feel it depends on the rest of the system.
