Multiple monitor question

My roommate and I both run dual monitors, that works fine, that's not my question. The thing is he watches movies with his monitors facing away from mine and I want to watch too....so i was wondering if there was some way to connect his 2nd monitor to mine so I can watch what he's watching while I game / work. Either some kind of physical connection or perhaps through the network? We're both on wired connections. Thanks in advance.

If its something on his computer, you can watch it any time you want if the folder is shared. Do some reading on this, its not hard. If its something he's watching streamed, thats harder. You'll need some sort of splitter for this, not sure what would be used. (not a switch, you'll still be limited to only one monitor.)
