Can you fit 3 8800 GtX cards into this case or does the cooling chamber have to be removed around the PSU. I have read very mixed views on this case from great to ***. Anyhow I like it but I see to get the most out of this cooling you can only run 2 cards. Maybe you guys can set me straight. Thanks.
Hey i'm fairly sure if you put 3 cards into this case you can still use the cooling chamber but its effectiveness will be decreased alot. Mainly because of the heat from the cards. My advice would be to just stick with 2 cards.
I know the case can handle those long 9800GTX video cards so you should be okay. The case is 9.1 inches wide which is wider than normal so that large fan on the side panel won't get in the way.
My Thermalright 120 extreme 1366 heatsink & fan only just misses that 230mm side panel fan though, despite all the extra width they put into the case. I read somewhere alot of people with even taller heatsink fans (like Coolmasters) were having to take the fan out altogether!
Furthermore volkoff just do what I did with mine and chuck out all the plastic thermal chambers bits n pieces! I prefer to see my components when i have a case window and also there is so many case fans in this case it would be rude to block all that airflow I felt.
