Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000HLFS 300GB 10000 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Will this be a better drive for gaming and multimedia than my seagate barracuda 7200.12 750gb?

What are your full system specs? If you want better gaming, upgrading the drive doesn't make a lot of sense. It will help the level load a bit faster if you have a fast enough CPU. It won't add to your FPS at all.

What resolution? Where are you having problems? You listed the raptor, where is the 7200.12?

You look pretty good overall. Depending on the games you play you might want to consider a quad. But overall you look fine.

Can you tell the difference (in general work, booting, gameplay)?

Good point GTVR. Seeing as you've used both, can you tell us your experiences? I'd prefer graphs and charts so I can believe what you say, but even verbiage would be nice.
