Hi, i need a new and good motherboard for hardcore gaming use coz my new/old one has stopped working for no apparent reason, and it happened after i shut it down then the pc won't turn on again, GA-EP45-UD3P just won't power up (power supplies are good and working). Since i'm confident that it's a motherboard failure i wanna ask some recommendations for my new high performance board that can stand up my gaming and also compatible with my current cpu and video card, and would last for years not weeks .

CPU: Intel Quad Core Q9550 (LGA 775)
Video Card: ATI HD4870 1Gig

Not knowing for sure but your board might be still under warranty from gigabyte, you might wanna get the serial number and what not and contact them first before looking into a new board :D

This is already the second board from the warranty that i get. Now i contacted the gigabyte company about this, but i would still want a new board since already 2 failed, i would want a more reliable motherboard for my needs.

I like gigabyte alot, MSI is next on the list for me might wanna give this one a look.

Might wanna go ahead and replace the PSU aswell, could be giving a good reading but giving dirty power, just a thought.

Did the first mobo have the same issue?

yep...both of them didn't power up, and it was after a normal shutdown. I tried tests on power supply, and the power supply is working fine, i also tried my spare power supply which is also a working PSU.
