Using 667 and 800 ram together

Hello

I have a DFI NF ULTRAII-M2 currently with 2 x 1gig DDR2 667. I put in a 2gig DDR 800 next to it, but my windows only shows 2gig ram still.

How can I get this to work? or because it my MB doesn't support 800, will the 800 ram I put in not run at 667?

Hi

667 and 800 ram have different CAS Latency's. It would probably be wise to run one or the other but not a mix.

When you upgrade the memory in dual mode make sure both are in equal speeds otherwise some mother boards wont detect both..
