USB Trouble XP SP3

Can I convert from USB 1.1 to 2.0 on a Dell Dimension 4400 with Windows XP Service Pack 3?

If so, what's involved?

You can install a USB 2.0 controller if you have an available PCI slot in your computer. Simply put the card in the slot. There may be drivers included with the card that need installed, but I do believe that SP3 should already have the necessary drivers.

Thanks, Hawkeye 22, I'll look for an available PCI slot and give it a try.

  4. I installed a USB 2.0 Controller card and it works great. The system installed the drivers automatically. Thanks for the tip.
