Need help on CPU/MB

Hey guys,

I have been looking at motherboard/processor combos for months trying to figure out what will be the best performance with the reliability of a quality product that will last me a while, yet spending as little as possible. I have heard the AMD Triple Core processors are good, but there is so much talk of Intel processors and mother boards being way ahead of AMD. Anyways, I need to have a motherboard/cpu that can handle up to 8gigs of ram for the future and will support 2 4870 or 2 4890 video cards. I really have no idea what the best MB/CPU combo would be so I was hoping you all could give me some imput. I am looking at purchasing something withing the next 3 weeks so anything you say would help me out.
