XFX GeForce 8600 GT

I just bought this card last week from newegg.com because someone had recommended I go with it so I can play games such as GTA IV and Crysis but the games start crashing. I updated all drivers for the card but still it seems a bit wacky.

I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.2 Ghz Dual Core 4400+; 2 GB DDR Ram; Power Supply (Unknown).

dont know if that will play gta 4, 8600 is very weak, sorry man

8600GT will play both GTAIV and Crysis but @ medium-low settings

I still can't play it at low settings. The thing crashes on me.

btw i myself have problems with it with my config,i cant play it on high settings i have to play it @ medium,the game is poorly optimized

Well what card do you have or suggest?

I have 4870X2 GTA IV PC as i said is a poorly optimized game which has problems with high end rigs too

have you played any other games then crysis and gta4? since you got the 8600GT?

yeah CoD5 and then for fun I played Counter-Strike just to see how good the fps and rates were but with CoD that one just closes the game while playing in the middle of it.

I had to switch back to my GeForce 7600 GT OC.. its ridiculous. I'm thinkin about just returning the 8600 and getting a 9 series. But I need suggestions.
