hi all, I do not know much so please bare with me. I just bought a CompUSA router off of Ebay. It came with a generic guide book. I am trying to connect to a Westell 6100 modem and run 2 computers from this, both running Windows Xp Home Edition. I have tried setting the modem to bridge and accessing the routers address as the book states is 192.168.8.1 but I keep getting ( page was unable to load ) error. The router has no model number on it or any other name , just says CompUsa. Can anyone point me in the right direction , please. Thanks

Do a factory reset on it. Should be a button someplace. Hold it in with the power plugged in for 15 seconds. If that don't work, try it with power unplugged.
Once it's hooked backup do an ipconfig /all and see what your address is. It should be either 192.168.0.X or 192.168.1.x
The routers ip would be 192.168.x.1. As for the login name and password its hard to say without a model number.
