No ping firewall off windows xp

Hello, I cannot ping a windows xp pro workstation. Firewall is off, ICMP enabled in registry & computer browser is turned on. Any ideas?

Have you verified these are on the same subnet? Is there a router between them? If so, is ICMP allowed through the router? Are you pinging the FQDN or IP address? If it's the FQDN, is DNS reporting the correct address? Also, try pinging the IP address if you haven't.
