I am planning to upgrade my PC soon. But I can't decide what graphics card should I get?I had my eye on Radeon HD4850 512MB for quite some time. But than I put my eye on Radeon HD4870 512MB.But radeon HD4870 512MB wasn't able to give 50 or 45 FPS on Crysis. After that I saw in areview that Radeon HD4870 is beaten in a large scale by Radeon HD4830 512MB Crossfire.I think more games like Crysis will be developed in 1 year. There is a rumour that Playstation 4 is going to come on market in 2013-2015.If it happens there will be a massive change in graphics cards.I will upgrade my pc on April 2009.After that I won't upgrade my pc before 5 years. So I need a good suggestion. But I want to mention that I want graphics card single or crossfire in 200$.One more thing I will be plying games at 1280X1024 resolution because my monitor is 17".So please tell me if Crossfire or SLI will make a difference from single graphics card at 1280X1024 resolution. As for other gadgets I will get the followings:

Processor:Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3Ghz
Ram:2GB

You have the same problem as me. Best advice is to wait untill April and then just before you upgrade ask again. There are some new ATI cards coming out close to then and thats what im waiting for. the cards may be a bit later than that 2/3 months say june july, buti have heard they are worth waiting for.

Personally I would rather a single 4870 then dual 4830's.

For certain you have to wait till closer to April, a lot can change in 4 months, and particularly price... who knows you might be able to get a 4870x2 for $200-250 bucks in April.

[I will be plying games at 1280X1024 resolution]

buy the 4830. It does nice at that resolution, even in Crysis.

You can't wait 5 years with any model card, so instead of buying an expensive one today, who will be outdated in 1 or 2 years, save the money. The price difference between a 4870 and 4830, if you save it to spend after 2 years, will make a good portion of the price of any card capable of beat anything in existence today, even crossfire/SLI configurations.
